Watch Artisans at Work at Holiday Craft Fair
Saturday, December 10, 2016 3-7pm
Carbondale – Local artisans will showcase their work at the 2nd Annual Holiday Craft Fair on Saturday, December 10, 2016. From wool felting to nature art, jewelry, and up-cycled crafts, these handmade items make the perfect holiday gifts.
The Holiday Craft Fair was started last year in an effort to support local artists, promote small businesses in the area and to build community. Crafters of all ages will have items for sale. Vendors include Craftology with fiber arts, Andrea LeBeau Designs with felted accessories, Nature Jewelry by Mimi, crocheted items and custom earrings by haadiya, up-cycled clothing, felted children’s sweaters, bath salts, body scrubs and more.
Many of the artists will work on their crafts at the event, giving guests the opportunity to custom design gifts. After last year’s Holiday Craft Fair, Jennifer Pellow commented, “This was such an awesome event! It was so much fun to design earrings for all of my sisters that one vendor made on the spot. I can’t wait for Christmas!”
The Holiday Craft Fair will be held at the Dayemi Community Center, 218 N. Illinois Avenue, Carbondale, 3-7pm on Saturday, December 11, 2016. The event is free.
