WDBX, The Varsity hosting Invincible Czars performing live music accompaniment for silent film double-feature

CARBONDALE — WDBX presents Invincible Czars in their triumphant Carbondale double-feature return at The Varsity Center. Fans of contemporary, art-house cinematic scoring or classic silent films will not want to miss Invincible Czars performing live original accompaniment to America’s first horror film, “Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde,” followed by their live accompaniment and screening of 1922’s macabre masterpiece “Nosferatu,” all in the recently-renovated Varsity Center Balcony.

WDBX Station Manager Dave Armstrong said Invincible Czars is a special treat. “I saw the Invincible Czars last year when they played for WDBX. I went home that night and bought tickets for my whole family to see them the next night. They loved it!”

The Invincible Czars have filled theaters all over the U.S., delivering intricately crafted and precisely performed silent film soundtracks. The Austin, Texas-based band makes quirky, bold music for lovers of everything in the “other” category.
