Tribute to Sharon Clark, special guests part of The Phonics return to The Varsity
The Phonics performed at The Varsity Center in Carbondale in November 2016. They return with guests Saturday, March 25.
The Phonics will return to The Varsity Center in two shows that will include a tribute to the late, great Sharon Clark.

Doors open at 6
Tickets are $15 and are available at www.facebook.com/varsitycenter/events and will be available at the door on the night of the shows. A cash bar with wine, beer and select cocktails will be available when doors open and throughout both shows.
When The Phonics made their first appearance at The Varsity in November, they were joined by Clark, who died in January. It was Clark’s first time performing with The Phonics and her last concert. Several musicians who have a history with Clark with appear with regular band members.
The Phonics members are Williams on drums and vocals, Larry Woods on bass, Lee Carter on lead guitar and vocals, John Carter on keyboards, Wilma Carter on vocals, Shadi Frick and Chris Rigdon on saxophones, and Roger Flatt on trombone.
Robbie Stokes, Mel Goot, Big Larry, Jim Wall, James Barnes and Larry Baldwin will join the band and perform special solos.
WSIU-TV will be recording both shows for later airing on its “Little Egypt Live” series.
